A suspect in the murder case of 82-year-old Justice of the peace, Colin Corrodus is to face an identification parade early this week.

According to head of crime for St Ann, deputy superintendent (DSP) Richard Hilton, the suspect that was picked up and who is in custody was interviewed by the police last week.

He said that the next step for the police is to place the suspect on an identification parade, early this week. Administrative issues reportedly delayed the ID parade.

Mr Corrodus was shot dead after up to four gunmen, some of them masked, carried out an attack at his Epworth home on Monday night, January 2.

His wife of ten years was roughed up and had to be hospitalized. Community members visiting at the time for a game of dominoes, escaped without injury.

Mr Corrodus’ .38 revolver was stolen in the attack and one visitor among a group playing dominoes, was robbed of $3,000.

Corrodus was a well-known businessman, who operated several businesses including Colvil Construction and Hardware located in Great Pond in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

The suspect was taken into custody a day after Mr Corrodus’ murder. It has been widely claimed that the suspect is an ex-police officer.
