Police said Hurd was wanted for murder. He had escaped custody, with seven other men, from the Oracabessa lock-up in December 2023.
According to the police, on Wednesday, May 28, a team of officers acting on information went to a premises on Rosalee Avenue, Kingston, in search of weapons and wanted men. It is alleged that upon seeing the police, Hurd pulled a firearm and fired at them. The fire was returned and he was shot and killed.
Earlier this month, the St Mary police again appealed for information on Hurd after they arrested and charged his brother, Gavin Orlando Adams in connection with lottery scamming paraphernalia. BROTHER OF ST MARY’S MOST WANTED ARRESTED
