The Police reported, by way of a release Monday afternoon, that eighteen-year-old Akelia Thompson of Oracabessa has returned home.
The North Coast Times reported Monday morning that Ms Thompson of Days Mountain, Oracabessa, St. Mary had been missing since Sunday, September 1. That report was based on a CCN release over the weekend.
The police report said then that at about 8:00 a.m., September 1, Akelia was last seen leaving her home for work in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. She was dressed in a white blouse with red markings and sports a natural hairstyle. Efforts to locate her have not been successful.
On Monday afternoon at 4:45 p.m., a fresh police report said Akelia Thompson has returned home. “She is said to be in good health.”
The police releases do not normally provide any details about what happened between the person being reported missing and being reported “returned”.
