Police are reporting that a St. Mary woman has been charged for receiving stolen property in the investigation of the murder of Manchester businessman Trevor Meikle, in Mandeville.
The woman appeared before the Mandeville Resident Magistrate’s Court today (May 3) and was offered bail in the sum of J$300,000.
The woman, Jodi-Ann Stewart, the brother of a man they were seeking had been held and taken into custody after she was found with a cell phone that belonged to the daughter of Mr Meikle.
Mr Meikle was shot dead on Sunday, April 17 at his gate after when he dropped off his daughter, who was coming from the airport, at her home on Battersea Drive in Mandeville.

Another man was yesterday taken into custody in connection with the robbery and murder of 76-year-old Manchester businessman Trevor Meikle.The man, who has garnered the interest of detectives from the St. Andrew North and the Manchester Divisions, handed himself over to the Major Organized Crime and Anti- Corruption Agency (MOCA) on Monday, May 02 accompanied by his lawyer. He was later handed over to the Manchester Police and is currently pending an Identification Parade.
