ST MARY HIGH POST WIN OVER TECHNICAL
St Mary teams continue to come up short against Portland schools in the Wata DaCosta Cup competition where they are playing in Zone ‘M’.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, Titchfield High of clipped Wycliffe Martin of Port Maria 1-0 at Carder Park, Port Antonio. They won from Brian Williams’ 36th-minute strike. That means Titchfield stay second in the Zone behind Port Antonio High who have a perfect record of wins from their four matches.
Meantime, St Mary High who have not started impressively knocked back St Mary Technical 4-0 at Highgate Community Centre. It’s St Mary High’s third win from five matches.

St Mary High will also feel good to know that on the most recently issued ISSA table of goal scorers across all zones, Kihen Higgins is listed in second place with six (6) goals, among a group of three. The ISSA table suggests he is the leading scorer in the northeast parishes. However a note to the tables says the ISSA summary is based on referee match cards returned.
(Kihen Higgins, he’s listed but is the table accurate?)
“The info above is based on the referee reports received to date. Please note that some reports are outstanding and hence all the cards and goal scorers are not yet included,” the note says.
Based on North Coast Times reporting, a full report would see at least one Ocho Rios High players on the list which doesn’t mention them at all.
