PORT MARIA, St Mary; June 7, 2025
It’s expected to be a football match with a difference. Police in St Mary go up against taxi operators from the Annotto Bay area in a football match set for Sunday, June 8 at the Annotto Bay Multipurpose Complex IN THE PARISH.
The match starts at 4 p.m.

This is the second such encounter between taxi and police, as the St Mary Police, led by Superintendent Anthony Wallace, seeks to bridge gaps between the police and different interest groups and communities. It is one of the strategies to increase support for the police and build bonds with various groups. Police say the strengthening of partnerships is part of the collective fight against crime through community involvement and positive engagement.
