“Resulting from these two operations, police arrested and charged five persons for various offenses, including smoking in a public place, possession of identity information, and possession and dealing in ganja… Officers also issued more than two hundred tickets for breaches of the Road Traffic Act,” said commanding officer for St Mary, Superintendent Anthony Wallace.
Fourteen people were detained, processed, questioned, and released.
Superintendent Wallace said the operations involved more than one hundred law enforcement personnel and drew support from several specialized branches of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), including the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB), Area 2 Fugitive Apprehension Team (AFAT), Ports Division, Canine Division, Specialized Operations, as well as other local units.
