EARLY MORNING RAIDS ALSO RESULT IN 100 TRAFFIC TICKETS

Three people were arrested and more than 20 detained in connection with ongoing investigations, during an early morning operation by law enforcement in St Mary, on Wednesday, February 12.
More than 150 police and soldiers were involved in the operation carried out in Huddersfield and Mason Hall, St. Mary. The security forces’ action included targeted raids and strategic roadblocks.

Acting Superintendent in charge of St Mary police, Anthony Wallace who led the operation said these efforts have significantly disrupted criminal activities in the parish.
One of the individuals arrested is facing charges related to possession of identity information. Additionally, over 200 vehicles were stopped and searched at vehicle checkpoints (VCPs), leading to more than 100 traffic tickets issued for various breaches of the Road Traffic Act.
The St. Mary Police Division has been carrying out several early morning raids in various communities and has also used curfew to help crime-fighting efforts across the parish.
