The St Mary police are seeking the assistance of residents in locating those responsible for the stabbing death of a man in Frontier in the parish on Tuesday morning, April 19.
The man has been identified as 52-year-old Roydell Anderson.
Residents in the area found Anderson dead on the Frontier main road at 8:50 a.m. with multiple stab wounds.
According to head of the St Mary police, superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, from preliminary investigations, it seemed a struggle ensued between Anderson and his attacker.
Up to Monday, no suspect had been taken into custody for the murder of Anderson. Investigations are ongoing by the police into the incident.
Supt Lindsay is appealing to anyone who can give any information to contact the Port Maria police.
However, reports to The Times by persons in the area suggest that there were tensions between Anderson and members of his family. It is alleged that Anderson was accused of using ‘obeah’ on a relative.
