GAYLE, St Mary; Sept. 11, 2025
St Mary Police have charged 42-year-old farmer Omar Reddie, of Gayle in the parish, with wounding with intent, following an incident on Friday evening, September 5, 2025.
Reports from the Port Maria Police are that about 7:30 p.m,. Reddie and a man were at a bar in the parish when an argument developed. During the fracas Reddie used a machete to chop the man on the left side of his face, causing a wound that bled. The injured man was taken to hospital where he was treated and released, and a report subsequently made to the police.
Reddie was apprehended during an operation and charged for the offenses. He is set to appear in court on October 3, 2025.
