Friday’s Fete By Hospital’s Friends
Friends of the St Ann’s Bay Hospital are in the final stages of their preparation for the annual fundraising Dinner and Dance, set for Friday evening.
The Dinner and Dance will be held at the Almond Tree Hotel, Ocho Rios, St Ann with the funds being used to purchase equipment for the St Ann’s Bay hospital.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, July 21.
The Friends, under the leadership of Interim President Audrey James, are hoping that the funds they raise will be able to help purchase even one of the pieces of needed equipment they have identified.
These are: a set of portable lights for Minor Ops, an ECG machine, a Cardiac monitor, and a Defibrillator. The group is hoping to provide even one of the items. The fundraising Dinner and Dance has not been held since 2019, because of the onset of COVID-19. The funds from the event, if enough, will also help to buy gifts for patients treated by the Friends at the end of the year
The emcee for the evening will be Dr Horace Betton and DJ Jody Jackson will spin the music for dancing.
Expect special gate and spot prizes as well as a raffle.
