TPDCO PROVIDES TRAINING FOR FESTIVAL QUEEN CONTESTANTS UNDER NEW ARRANGEMENT
The six young ladies who are contestants in the St. Ann JCDC Festival Queen Competition were treated to a training session by the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCO) at the parish office. The training took place on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The ladies received information about Jamaica, tourism and customer service, among other things. The competition itself involves participants at the parish and national level being required to respond to current affairs and other questions about Jamaica. The training was done by Abigail Bennett-Gibson administrative officer.
The six St Ann Festival Queen contestants and their sponsors are: Bianca Johnson – Square One Supermarket; Sonyah James — Acid Protective Services; Chrisantia Brown — New Windsor Pharmacy; Keshaunna Watkis — Beauty Statement; Terest Brown — Tents ‘N More and Onecia Henry — Double D Promotions.
The Coronation takes place on Sunday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at Holiday Haven Resort Runaway Bay, St Ann.
The JCDC and TPDCo are to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024, in Kingston to formalize the arrangement for the training of the Festival Queen contestants in all parishes.
