St Ann police launch youth club quiz competition

Bamboo PYC beat Runaway Bay PYC in the first match of a revamped police youth clubs quiz competition, Thursday.

The current affairs quiz match took place following the formal launch of  a revamped quiz competition for police youth clubs (PYCs) in the parish.

The St Ann PYC Quiz Competition was launched at the police headquarters in St Ann’s Bay on Thursday evening, August 7.
Twelve youth clubs from across the parish are participating in the competition “geared at promoting a harmonious relationship between young persons and the police” said coordinator Constable Carl McLarty. Speaking at the launch of the quiz competition which has been dormant for years, Cons McLarty said the competition will ” increase awareness of current affairs and issues relating to policing.”
