MAN KNOWN TO THEM CHOPPED, THEN SHOT AND KILLED
BROWN’S TOWN, St Ann; March 16, 2026
TWO MEN from St Ann have been slapped with murder and other serious charges resulting from the death of 21-year-old Jordane Miller, otherwise called ‘Jay,’ of Retirement district, Brown’s Town, St Ann.
Charged are 35-year-old Lonni Jackson, otherwise called ‘Ackadat,’ a taxi driver; and 31-year-old Sheldon Allen, otherwise called ‘Tall Strap,’ both of Retirement, St Ann.
They have been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that the three men (Miller, Jackson, and Allen) knew each other and lived at the same premises.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that at about 11:00 p.m., on Saturday night, March 7, 2026, Miller and Allen were allegedly involved in a confrontation during which Allen reportedly used a machete to chop Miller on his head, causing a wound.

(Not the machete used.)
It was further alleged that Allen then called his friend Jackson, who was armed with a firearm. Jackson reportedly opened fire at Miller, hitting him in his chest and face. The men then fled the scene.

The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, Miller was transported to the hospital for treatment. He was admitted but later succumbed to his injuries.
Police say Allen and Jackson were subsequently arrested and charged after several statements were recorded from eyewitnesses, and also based on a caution statement collected from the accused men admitting to the crime.
Their court date is being finalised.
