ST ANN MAN MURDERED AT HIS GATE

SHOT OVER A DOZEN TIMES IN ‘HIT’, WEEKS AFTER ANOTHER MURDER IN COMMUNITY

RUNAWAY BAY, St Ann; Sept. 17, 2025

Gunmen shot and killed a man at his gate in Runaway Bay, St Ann Wednesday night, September 16, 2025.

Dead is 33-year-old Edoniel Crawford, also called Jugsy, a steelworker of Stand Pipe, Mount Edgecombe Settlement, Runaway Bay.

A police source said Crawford’s death was clearly a hit. The source said a police patrol had passed through the area only about 20 minutes earlier.

Crawford’s death comes seven years after his brother was murdered in the community and less than two months after another man was chased, shot, and killed in Mt Edgecombe.

Reports are that about 10:45, Wednesday, Crawford, along with friends, was at his gate, along the roadway, attending to a car.

It is reported that a Toyota Axio motor car drove up and men alighted, firing a barrage of shots. Crawford was hit in the upper body over a dozen times and died at the scene. The other men who were with him fled. None of them was wounded.

The gunmen re-entered the car, firing several shots as they left the community.

Crawford’s death comes six weeks after another man was killed in the same community of Mt Edgecombe. 2 GUN MURDERS IN ST ANN

The North Coast Times reported that early Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Renarko Campbell was walking along Short Lane, Mt Edgecombe, Runaway Bay, when men drove up in a Toyota Axio motorcar. Campbell ran, and the men chased him and shot him multiple times, killing him.
