9MM PISTOL TAKEN FROM 28-YEAR-OLD
A St Ann man was arrested and charged Friday night, January 19 after he was held with a gun and more than 30 rounds of ammunition.
He is 28-year-old Shaneil Hickling, unemployed of King Hill, Bamboo, St Ann. He was arrested and charged with the offences of possession of a prohibited weapon and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Reports are that members of a police team were on patrol in the Bamboo area. On reaching the vicinity of Hazelwood Square, police accosted and searched the accused.
One 9mm silver and black Zastava pistol with a magazine containing eight rounds and a transparent plastic bag containing an additional twenty-four 9mm rounds were taken from him.
A date is to be set for him to appear in the St Ann Parish Court to answer the charges.
