mile endA family from Mile End near Ocho Rios, St. Ann is in deep mourning following the tragic death of one of their relatives in Buncombe county, North Carolina, USA. Police there are still investigating the death of Swayne Nequia Forsyth, 19, whose body was pulled from the French Broad River on  January 19. Forsyth and Aida Bytyqi, also 19 years old, were reported missing late last December 2014. Their bodies were found inside a car in the river about 7:30 p.m when a kayaker reported finding a car upside down, submerged in the river. According to Fox Carolina News, deputies were able to identify the car early in the rescue effort, however it took a while for the vehicle to be pulled from the water. Deputies say it appeared the car veered off the road into the river.Relatives of Forsyth had made a desperate plea for the missing teen to return home saying he took nothing from home. They reported him missing on December 31. A report on Fox Carolina News stated that relatives of Forsyth dropped him off at his Pepperbrush Trail home in Arden after his shift at the World Market on December 29. He was later seen walking away from the BP gas station at Long Shoals Road and Schenk Parkway, Fox Carolina News quoted deputies as saying.  He was carrying a bag pack. Forsyth’s aunt Marsha Forsyth told the North Coast Times that the teen’s family in Jamaica is shaken by the tragic death and that they are trying hard to cope. Ms Forsyth said especially the teen’s father, Mickey Forsyth, is still in shock over the untimely death of his son. “Him (the father) use to drink a lot and now him drinking even harder, him take it really hard,” Ms Forsyth said. She said the news is even harder to digest because the teen has never returned to Jamaica since he left at age 10. Then he was a student at St. Ann’s Bay Primary. The aunt said she spoke to her nephew regularly on the phone and she told the Times that he and his brother had great plans for their father.”Him always a tell him father to ease off the drinking and take care of himself because they working hard so they could take him overseas to live with them,” Ms Forsyth said. She said the teen’s grandmother whom he loved has also taken the news of his death very hard. She said: “It hard, everybody take it really hard, but we trying to cope, it even harder because since he left he never came back, so we only see picture of him or when he called on Skype …” She said  although he lived overseas he would talk to his relatives back home quite frequently. The family said they are currently making preparation to bury the teen and that his body will be flown home to Jamaica ahead of his funeral scheduled for next Sunday, February 8, at the Mile End Seventh Day Adventist Church.
