HELD WITH GANJA ON WAY TO STATION LOCK-UP
A police constable is in custody after he was allegedly held with contraband on his way to the cell block at the St Ann’s Bay Police Station.
Reports reaching the North Coast Times are that late Tuesday night, July 16, the constable was on duty at the St Ann’s Bay station. He was seen acting suspiciously as he went toward the cell block and was accosted by another officer.
When searched the constable was found with ganja said to be in a sealed package. Other reports say other contraband items were taken from the policeman.
The police officer was taken into custody.
Reports are that in a cell search on the previous day, Monday, July 15, at the same lock-up police found razor blades, knives and a lighter.
