The residents of South East St Mary are this morning without political representation.
This after news emerged that Opposition parliamentarian, Dr Winston Green, who represented the area, has died.
It is understood that Green collapsed and hit his head at home in Kingston, early Monday morning
He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
An official cause of death is not known at this time.
Dr Green, who is a dental surgeon, is being hailed for his excellent contribution to his constituency.
Dr Green narrowly defeated another medical professional, pharmacist, Dr Norman Dunn, in the February 2016 General Elections.
Green won by only five votes upon the conclusion of a magisterial recount in March 2016.
