SOLDIER DIES IN ST ANN CRASH
A 24-year-old soldier died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle crash on the Richmond main road, Priory, St. Ann, on Friday, October 13.
Dead is Chavane Allen of Cotton Street district, Standfast, Brown’s Town in the parish.
Reports from the St. Ann’s Bay Police are that at about 9:35 p.m., Allen was driving a Toyota Fielder motor car, heading towards Ocho Rios.
On reaching a section of the roadway, he and the driver of a Toyota Axio motor car were travelling in the same direction, when their vehicles both collided with an International Motor Truck that was travelling in the opposite direction.
All three drivers sustained multiple injuries and were assisted to the hospital, where Allen was pronounced dead while the others were admitted in stable condition.
Investigations continue.
