Slow start to St Mary Circuit as cases postponed, new mention dates set

Thursday’s sitting in the St. Mary Circuit Court, Port Maria saw more cases set for mention due to issues concerning legal representation, the gathering of evidence and incomplete files, among other matters.
The case of Delton Tulloch was yet again set for mention on March 11. Tulloch is charged for illegal poseession of firearm. His legal representation was still not settled and Justice Evan Brown gave him more time to settle this issue. Lincoln Crossdale who was charged for illegal possession of firearm was again remanded into custody until March 12 when his case is to set for mention.
Several other cases are set to be mentioned this week in the St. Mary circuit court and Justice Evan Brown advised lawyers representing accused clients to get their evidence and whitnesses ready for trial as cases will not be pushed back to a next session of the circuit.
