Police have confirmed the identity of the businessman shot dead in St Ann this morning.
He is sixty-six-year-old Alfred Whorms of Alexandria, St Ann. Whorms was shot dead this morning (Jan. 18) in Salem, Runaway Bay, St Ann.
Reports are that police were called after explosions were heard and Whorms’ body was found, with a bullet to the head, outside his business place.
Mr Whorms was before the court on a charge of murder following a shooting incident on his property in Alexandria four years ago. He had insisted that he had shot a man who had been stealing items from his property and said there was a confrontation when the man was shot.
ACP in charge of Area 2, Fitz Bailey who went to the scene told the North Coast Times it was too early to tell whether the murder had anything to do with the court case.
See the next issue of the North Coast Times for details.
