Police patrols have increased, following the shooting death of a woman in her home Sunday, March 22, 2015According to reports from the police, about 3:00 a.m., Thursday, a police team was on foot patrol in a section of the community known as Green Bay. The police said they responded to reports of shooting in the area but were fired on by gunmen.They reportedly took evasive action and requested back up. Further reports are that the police team received assistance and was continuing its patrol when they were again fired on by gunmen.The police said they returned the fire and during a search of the area, one man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The wounded man was taken to the St Ann’s Bay hospital where he has been admitted under police guard in serious but stable condition.
