Police are seeking a woman who is before the courts on a charge of aiding and abetting the carnal abuse of her step-daughter by a man who has pleaded guilty to the crime. She is Nicola Green of Exchange, Ocho Rios, St Ann.The shocking case of a step-mother putting out a young girl to a man for money is even more awful as the woman reportedly also offered the girl, then under 16 years old to her own common-law husband who found out about the sex for hire episode. The police say they have been looking for Ms Green, of Middle Street, Exchange but have no idea where to find her. They say that on previous court appearances she often had epileptic seizures (or attacks of fits).Allegations are that the woman took her step-daughter to a man who had asked her to find a woman for him. The woman is alleged to have taken the girl to the man several times and instructed or forced her to perform sexual acts with him.Police say that at least on one occasion she stood in the room with them and ordered the girl to undress for the man. It is being claimed that the man did not know the relationship of Mr Green to the girl who cannot be named as she is a victim of a sex crime. The man is also claiming that he was told the young woman was more than 16 years old or over the age of consent. In court for carnal abuse is Elvis Staine, 46-year-old, who is listed as having several occupations. Staine pleaded guilty last month to carnal abuse in the case going back to 2010.Green had appeared in court several times and was admitted to bail. However she has not attended court for more than two years and the investigating officer from CISOGA says they want to find Ms Green and have been searching for her.Staine and Green were charged in July 2010 after the young woman, who was under 16 then, reported the abuse to the police. Police say Green’s common-law husband had heard about the scheme and insisted on getting involved. He reportedly wanted money to keep quiet but instead the bargain was he would have his way with her too. He also sexually abused the young woman and is now in prison from that rape, serving a 25-year-sentence.
Mr Stine is expected in court for sentencing Thursday this week.
