A Kingston sex worker, who is alleged to have stabbed a male client in Runaway Bay, St Ann after he reportedly stole or took back cash he paid her for an alleged sexual encounter, has been charged.
The woman, 27-year-old Anna-Kay Watson of Tower Hill in Kingston was charged on Sunday, June 4 with the murder of 37-year-old labourer Fredrick Jackson of Philadelphia in St Ann.
The Times understands that Watson appeared in the St Ann Parish Court last Thursday, June 8 and was remanded until Tuesday, June 13, when the matter is again to be mentioned.
It is not clear if Watson has legal representation in the matter.
The murder is alleged to have taken place at about 3 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24 in an area popularly known as ‘Truck Stop’ in Runaway Bay, St Ann.
Information is that Watson reported that she and Jackson had engaged in sex for a fee of $3,000 to be paid by Jackson.
However, Watson allegedly claimed that at the end of their encounter, Jackson brandished a knife and took back the money that was paid.
It was at this time that Watson made a report to two police officers of a case of robbery committed allegedly by Jackson.
It was while a police officer was effecting a search on Jackson, the accused woman used a knife to stab Jackson in the upper left section of his back.
The man was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, while the woman was taken into custody.
