The security guard who is alleged to have shot and killed, his ex lover, in St Ann’s Bay last Friday has been charged.
Charged for murder is sixty-year-old Alvan Chatrie, security guard of Runaway Bay in the parish. Chatrie was charged Tuesday afternoon by the St Ann police with the murder of 39-year-old Ophelia Wollaston, of Lime Hall, also in St Ann.
Chatrie has been in police custody since his arrest early Friday evening, after the nurse was shot inside a supermarket in the St Ann capital.
Nurse Wollaston had just reported to police that the security guard with whom she had ended a relationship was still harassing her. He reportedly followed her into a supermarket where she was shot.
She died at the St Ann’s Bay hospital Saturday morning, October 28,
