GOOD FRIDAY FESTIVAL IN GOLDEN GROVE ST ANN INCLUDES SHOW HEADLINED BY SKIPPA
GOLDEN GROVE, St Ann; March 7, 2026
The second staging of the Builtron Kite Festival in Golden Grove, St Ann, is all set for Good Friday, April 3, 2026. All indications are that it will be a bigger and better family event than last year’s staging.
Shane Gordon, whose brainchild it is, said that last year they took only three months to organize the kite festival and the day was a success, with many people complimenting the organization.

He said this year they have pulled out all the stops with many games and attractions on the day and a top-class line-up for the show at the Reynolds Sports Complex, Golden Grove.
Mr Gordon said he grew up in the community, and every year during the Easter season, there was a Kite Festival for the entire family. That, he said, slowly declined in popularity. He said that as an adult, he wanted to reignite that family and community tradition.

The family-centered event will see a host of activities geared for children and the entire family. For the children, there will be at least ten rides, face painting, and opportunities to interact with life-size cartoon characters and clowns.
There will also be competitions for parents and children.
Adults are in for several treats, including the talented “Jamaica Michael Jackson” and fire dancers.
The star-studded entertainment package will see Skippa, Jah Vinci, Professor Nuts, Rally Banks and Top Banks turning on the heat.
MC for the show will be the “Energiser Bunny” Jenny Small.
Sponsors of the event are Builtron Gordon’s Hardware & Construction, Builtron Enterprise, Mystic Mountain, Dolphin Cove, JSJ Logistics, EtCetera, and Bettino’s Italian Restaurant.
There will be free shuttle from Fesco gas station in Golden Grove St Ann to the Festival Site. Gates open at 10 a.m.
