VENUE WELL-SUITED WITH PROUD CRICKET HISTORY

Discovery Bay, St Ann; August 7, 2025

The Port Rhoades Sports Club (Discovery Bauxite), Discovery Bay St Ann, is gearing up to host the national finals of the Social Development Commission (SDC) 20/20 cricket competition on Sunday, August 10.

The club has been the traditional venue for the finals since 2012, except for the COVID-19 years, and last year’s trial run at Chedwin Park.

The Port Rhoades Sport Club has grandstand seating and grounds accommodation for over 5,000 spectators.

The 2025 competition commenced on May 22 and is the largest and most popular cricket competition in Jamaica with some 120 teams representing approximately 150 communities across the country.

Sunday’s games will see the Portmore Masters against SE Masters from St. Elizabeth in the Masters Finals at 10am, and Junction Ballards Valley from St. Elizabeth playing Richmond Park, Kingston, at 2pm.
