Two male students from Oracabessa High School remain in police custody in the murder of a school mate in the parish yesterday.
Dead is 16-year-old Rushane Murray of Herbert Swaby Avenue, Tower Isle in St. Mary. Reports to the North Coast Times are that about 5:30 p.m., Rushane who was on the second shift his way from school when he and another student had a dispute. The dispute allegedly became physical and another schoolboy intervened and Rushane was stabbed. He fell on the side of the road metres away from the Oracabessa police station. He was pronounced dead at Port Maria Hospital.
The two teens involved in the fight with Rushane were arrested.
They have not been charged with the murder.In the meantime, Murray was described as a quiet and had much potential by principal of the Oracabessa High School, Paul Lofters.
