From reports to the North Coast Times, Nash was stabbed to death after taking dinner to his 16-year-old girlfriend and as they walked from a shop near her home in Inverness, St Ann. The perpetrator is said to be the girl’s former lover.

According to reports, the 16-year-old high school student with whom he was having a relationship called him on Wednesday evening, September 24, and asked him to take a meal for her. The accused man, who lives some 50 kilometres away, near Ocho Rios, took the meal to her house in Inverness. She then asked him to accompany her to a nearby shop.

On their way to the shop, about 8:50 p.m., they were approached by a man dressed in black clothing and wearing a ski mask. He was armed with a kitchen knife, which he used to stab Nash in the region of the left side of his chest, right side of his abdomen, and left arm.

Nash ran off and collapsed into a nearby gully. The girlfriend raised an alarm, and people from the shop chased the suspect, who dropped a multi-coloured knapsack while he was running.

He escaped from the area. Residents who identified the attacker as the former boyfriend of the schoolgirl retrieved his ID from the knapsack.

The police were called, and Nash was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have confirmed that the alleged killer turned himself in at the Ocho Rios police station in the company of his attorney, Linton Gordon.
