SANDALS TEAM JOINS COASTAL CLEAN-UP

BAGS OF GARBAGE REMOVED FROM BEACH AT PRIORY

Team members from Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Plantation rolled up their sleeves at Alterry Beach in Priory, St. Ann, in recognition of International Coastal Clean-Up Day, On Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The initiative formed part of Sandals Resorts International’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community outreach.

General Manager of Sandals Dunn’s River, Deryk Meany, emphasized the significance of the effort, noting, “Our beaches and coastlines are vital to both our environment and our way of life in Jamaica. Participating in International Coastal Clean-Up Day is about taking responsibility, protecting our natural resources, and inspiring others to do the same. When we take care of our beaches, we take care of our future.”

Regional Public Relations Coordinator, Keish Beckford, said, “It was inspiring to see our staff working side by side with the community, making a visible difference at Alterry Beach.”

The clean-up involved the collection of dozens of bags of debris, leaving the shoreline visibly improved. Sandals team members pledged to continue supporting initiatives that preserve Jamaica’s coastal treasures for generations to come.
