LEADERSHIP TRAINING WITH HEART, TVET WELL RECEIVED
OCHO RIOS, St. Ann; June 12, 2025:
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is celebrating 16 leaders who recently completed an accredited Supervisory Management Professional Development Programme. The programme was done in collaboration with Human Employment and Resource Training /National Service Training Agency (HEART/NSTA Trust) and the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET).

Sandals says the training marked a significant milestone in workforce training and team member advancement.
The three-month-long programme culminated in a grand graduation ceremony. Joy Bernard, training and development manager and graduate, emphasised her commitment to leadership and continued learning, “I took this course to lead by example. When I tell others about the programme, I can confidently say I’ve done it and so can you. This is one such course offered by the Sandals Corporate University (SCU) for our budding leaders.”

Daniel Jenkie, receptionist and graduate, highlighted the camaraderie that made her journey memorable. “Team support could not have been better. When I needed help, others stepped in — and I did the same for them. It was a win-win for all of us. Anytime I see an opportunity for personal growth, I jump for it.”
Carol Bourke, general manager, had high praise for the graduates, “We are extremely proud of all our graduates today. This demonstrates what happens when we believe in our team and invest in their growth. We’re proud to offer programmes that not only build skills but also foster community and collaboration.”
