ACTION AT STEER TOWN AND IN FOREST RESERVE
The Sandals Foundation galvanized the support of scores of its ambassadors from Sandals and Beaches Resorts on the North Coast to celebrate Earth Day. They planted over 300 trees in a single day last Friday, April 21.
Team members from Sandals Dunn’s River, the soon-to-be-opened, newest property in the all-inclusive Sandals Resorts line, took time to plant ornamental trees at Steer Town Primary, near Ocho Rios. This effort, in collaboration with additional team members and guests from Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, Sandals Royal Plantation, and Beaches, Ocho Rios planted 300 forest trees at the Bogue Forest Reserve.

A team member from Sandals Dunn’s River being observed by students at Steer Town Primary School during a tree planting exercise at the school to mark World Earth Day last Friday.
Last year they planted nearly 200 food-bearing trees at Jacobs Ladder’s Mustard Seed Community.
The large-scale tree planting event formed part of the organisation’s ‘Trees for Life’ campaign.
