A SECOND DAY OF PROTESTS HAS BADLY AFFECTED students at the Westwood High School among other schools in Stewart Town, Jackson Town and Clarks Town in St Ann.
Protestors have blocked the road between Stewart Town and Jackson Town in Trelawny. Yesterday the road blocks had stretched through to Musgrave Square near Brown’s Town, St Ann, cutting off several districts including Retreat. Many educational institutions, including some in St Ann – St Hilda’s, York Castle and Browns Town high schools were affected yesterday, as hundreds of students and teachers were not able to get through the roadblocks
The protests are over the condition of the roadway between Brown’s Town and Clarks Town, Trelawny. The roadway has been in a bad condition for months now.
North Coast Times was informed that the roadway was blocked in several places this morning (Tuesday).
Hundreds of students from the all-girls Westwood High School, Stewart Town have returned home. Reports are there are only about a third of the students and teachers in attendance there today.
