INCREASED LEAD

Before the second half ended RIU increased their lead when Oshane Allen #11 scored with a powerful shot from just outside the edge of the 6-yard-box. RIU still hand the dominance with approximately 70% ball possession and they widened the margin on Sandals.Marvin Lesley #7 scored, after receiving a short lofted ball in the 6-yard-box. This made the match 4-0 and made the Sandals supporters go silent in the stands. Sandals Ochi redeemed themselves a little bit with a goal in the 74th minute by Martin Simms who made a low but powerful shot from the 18-yard-box, beating Carlton Russell in the RIU goal. This goal made the RIU players work a little more to cop their 5th goal shortly after. This was scored by Romeo Raymond #3 blasting a lofted shot which tipped into Sandals net.Leon Evans of Sandals Ochi gave his team the second goal by beating through RIU’s defence which had a lapse of concentration in the 85th minute. But this did not bother RIU who went and got their sixth and final goal, when Mario Yorke #10 scored his second.
