The Restoration of Life Mission in Christ Apostolic Church located in St Ann’s Bay St Ann held its annual Christmas treat on Monday, December 22, on the church grounds. Host pastor and nurse Albertha Boswell-James and Dawnmarie Lowery did a marvelous job in putting the smiles on the faces of over 100 children for the Christmas season. The treat consisted also of fun filled activities such as singing and several children-friendly games.Parents also accompanied their children to the annual treat, and commended Mrs James in again extending her hand to the children for Christmas and her team in making the treat successful. The church building and adjoining premises were filled with the sounds of melodious Carols as the children all sang and enjoyed being with close friends and parents. Pastor James explained her love for children and continued to emphasize to parents to take in interest and invest in their children so that they can be successful people in society. The children were served a finger licking lunch treat and were also given gift packages including books, crayons, toys, bags, and other educational items. Several parents expressed appreciation for the gift their children received, indicating that might be the only gift for Christmas. Pastor James thanked God for using her for the right way in helping children. The annual treat started in 1997 and has since then been constant, not only for Christmas but also for other occasions such as back to school. In August, the back-to-school treat of Restoration of Life Mission in Christ Apostolic Church helped dozens of school children with supplies, clothing and shoes.
