RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTED IN CANADA-SPONSORED PROGRAMME AT MONEAGUE COLLEGE & HEART EBONY PARK

CLIMATE SMART, FOOD PROCESSING PROGRAMMES SHOW RESEARCH COMPONENT

MONEAGUE, St Ann; March 26, 2025

The research element of the cooperation among Moneague College, HEART Ebony Park Academy and Canadian institutions was highlighted at the College, St Ann on March 13, 2025.

A Research Symposium was held the same day as the closing ceremony, at the Moneague College, St Ann,  that marked the end of the Skills to Access the Green Economy (SAGE-05) programme. SAGE was sponsored by the Colleges and Institutes of Canada (CICan), Niagara College and the College of the North Atlantic. CANADIAN PARTNERSHIP WITH MONEAGUE & EBONY PARK HAILED AS SUCCESSFUL

One of the outputs of the SAGE-05 programme was to develop an applied research framework. That was successfully accomplished.

In addition, the Climate Smart AgroProcessing Associate of Applied Science degree has a compulsory research course hence all students and faculty engage in applied research

The research symposium featured a rollout of that framework and a presentation of the proposals submitted in response to the Applied Research Call for Proposals.

Research proposals to be supported by the SAGE-05 programme were outlined at the Applied Research Symposium titled “Empowering Communities Through Innovative Climate Smart Agriculture Research.”
