POLICE OFFERED $150,000 AND iPHONE NOT TO CHARGE PORTLAND MAN WITH ILLEGAL GUN
PORT ANTONIO, Portland; May 4, 2025
May 3, 2025-
A Portland man and his sister have been charged with attempting to bribe a police officer who found the man with a gun.
Charged with bribery and conspiracy to bribe are 35-year-old Kemar Henry a waiter of Naylors Hill, Port Antonio and 39-year-old Ann-Marie Fuller, a school teacher of Stony Hill district, both in Portland.
According to the police on Saturday, May 3, 2025 about 7:30 p.m., lawmen conducted an operation at Henry’s home. During the search, one Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing four 9mm rounds of ammunition was found in his possession.
It is further reported that in an effort to prevent the police from prosecuting him, Henry then offered to bribe them. He promised cash and a cellular phone in exchange for them to set him free.
The lawmen then activated a covert operation, in which Henry and his sister, Fuller, arranged to follow through with the bribe as promised.
Sometime after, Fuller visited a service station where Henry and the lawmen were. She then handed the sum of $150,000 and an iPhone 15 cellular phone to her brother, which was then handed to the lawmen.
Upon receiving the cash and cellular phone, both Henry and Fuller were arrested and were charged jointly with the offences.
In addition to the charges for bribery, Henry was also charged with offences under the Firearms Act.
Their court date has not been finalised.
