ST MARY SCHOOLS STRUGGLING IN D’CUP
The Portland DaCosta Cup teams continue to do well and lead in their zones in the DaCosta Cup football competition.
Port Antonio High remain at the top of Zone M, which has most of its contestants from St Mary.
Titchfield are in second place after beating St Mary High 2-1. Titchfield have seven points from three matches – winning two and posting one draw. In their 2-1 win over St Mary High, Titchfield’s goals came from Sanjay Marshall and Taffano Bryan, the latter being a penalty in the 82nd minute. St Mary High’s Narvar Logan equalized in the 8th minute after Titchfield went ahead in the 3rd.
Titchfield ended with ten players as Taffano Bryan was dismissed in added time.

St Mary High are in fourth place and have six points from four matches. They have won two and lost 2.
Port Antonio High are runaway leaders in the zone having won all four matches for 12 points. Their latest victory came over Horace Clarke of Islington. Pt Antonio won four goals to one. Horace Clarke and Iona are yet to score a point. Wycliffe Martin are in third place in Zone ‘M’.
Meantime, Happy Grove playing in a zone with St Thomas teams continue their lead in Zone ‘L’ after trashing Seaforth 4-0. Shevone Miller got a brace for Happy Grove. Happy Grove have scored 20 goals so far.
