A man from Portland who was a passenger in a minibus died and several others were injured when the bus was hit by a freightliner trailer.
Dead is twenty-six-year-old Paul Jackson, a labourer of Skibo district, Buff Bay in the parish.
Reports from the Buff Bay Police are that about 8:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1, Jackson was a passenger in a minibus
ravelling on the Spring Gardens Road, towards St. Margaret’s Bay when the bus was hit by a Freightliner trailer heading in the same direction. All occupants of the bus and trailer were taken to hospital where Jackson was pronounced dead.
The driver of the trailer was reportedly warned for prosecution.
Investigations continue.
