Man Stabbed To Death Over Money
Two brothers from Portland have been charged with murder following the stabbing death of 37-year-old Leighton Biggs otherwise called ‘Zeeks’, in Lennox district, Orange Bay in the parish on Wednesday, June 14.
Charged are: 25-year-old Weston Warren otherwise called ‘Pucky Pucky’, and 20-year-old Ricardo Warren otherwise called ‘Rick’, both of Lennox District.
Reports from the Orange Bay Police are that about 8:30 p.m., Biggs was at his uncle’s house complaining about what he considered inadequate payment he had received for work he had done with one of the Warren brothers.
One of the brothers came up at that time and an argument developed. The other brother then turned up and the argument continued. Biggs’ uncle stepped away and went into his house.
Shortly after, he saw Biggs running towards him and bleeding from a wound to the left side of his chest. Biggs had also been stabbed above the navel and a knife was left in the wound.
He was rushed to the Annotto Bay hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Warren brothers were handed over to the police by their relatives later the same day. They have now been charged.
Their court date is being arranged.
