The city of Montego Bay is mourning one of its  most popular party dancers, 25 year old Ricquell Randall, more popularly called Madusa  who was pregnant. She died in the Cornwall Regional Hospital on Friday morning, October 17.

According to reports from her Madusa’s mother, Prudence Harrison , the doctor at the Hospital told her that her daughter died from complications, related to a gunshot that was lodged at her side, from a May 8 shooting incident at a club in Long Bay St James, where two men were also killed.

At the time of her death she was living at First Street, Albion, and began complaining of feeling “pain in her belly bottom.” Her sister took her to the hospital on October 12 where she was admitted, until Friday morning October 17 when she succumbed. According to her mom, Madusa was swollen to a point where she could not walk on her own.

Madusa came to prominence  over a decade ago while going to parties and taking the dance floor in unusual dance styles. It is said she was the originator for the Dutty Wine dance moves which many people adopted, and she was also showcased in many of the dancehall party videos.

Madusa was a popular figure at the weekly Mondayz Party on Barnett Street. She died leaving two boys, seven-year-old Deaquan Levy and five-year-old Damondrea Whyte 5. Madusa was the daughter of Montego Bay DJ Junior History.
