2 MEN ARRESTED FOR IDENTITY INFO, 60 TRAFFIC TICKETS ISSUED

Two men from St Mary were charged in a pre-dawn operation that saw police and soldiers simultaneously sweep through five communities in the parish on Monday morning, March 31, 2025..
The two have been charged with possession of identity information. They are Allen Roberts, 22, of Stewart Town, Boscobel, and Owayne Byfield, 22, of Huddersfield, both in the parish. An increasing number of men have been charged in St Mary in connection with alleged lottery scamming activities, including possession of identity information of people overseas.
Police said the coordinated operations, conducted at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, targeted key criminal hotspots in Stewart Town, Retreat, Three Hills, Gully Road, and Boscobel.

Led by Acting Superintendent Anthony Wallace, security forces executed cordon-and-search exercises, targeted raids, and vehicle checkpoints (VCPs) to disrupt gang activity, recover illegal firearms, and detain wanted individuals.
Thirty-six other people who were taken into custody were, processed, and released.
Additionally, law enforcement efforts resulted in over 60 traffic tickets being issued, and one motor vehicle was seized for operating without a road license.
