scene

Another murder has taken place in the volatile Steer Town community, St Ann.Dead is 43-year-old Clinton Robinson, otherwise called “Money Tree” from Steer Town.Robinson was shot dead Friday, May 22, just after noon, near the square in the community. SIMILARITY

The murder of Robinson was very similar to that of 21-year-old David Nevers, cook, who was shot dead a few yards away from Friday’s killing. Nevers was slain two weeks earlier on Saturday morning, May 9 at 12:30 in a cook shop where he had been working. Police said Nevers was sitting on a chair in a shop ‘A Yah Suh Nice” in the community when a man approached him, pulled a fire arm and shot him several times, in the face and head. That death came on the very day another murder victim, Marlette Brisco, hotel worker, was being buried. She was shot dead in her home in the community after gunmen kicked down the door. Her two children were not harmed.Police have been asking people to come forward with information about crime in the community. Police have increased their presence in Steer Town and earlier this year were faced down by gunmen who fired on them.
