BOY HIT OVER THE HEAD WITH CHAIR IN DISPUTE
OCHO RIOS, St Ann; March 4, 2026
A boy at Ocho Rios High School, St Ann, died Wednesday evening after he was attacked by a schoolmate at school earlier in the afternoon.
Details of the victim are not available, but hospital sources said he died shortly before 7 p.m., after being admitted in serious condition earlier.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that two boys in the upper grades of the school had a dispute and one reached for a chair and hit the other over the head.

The boy was knocked to the floor. Teachers and other students came to his assistance and he was rushed to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, about ten miles away.
Police from the nearby Ocho Rios police station rushed to the scene, while others went directly to the hospital.
Police confirmed the attack and that the boy was hospitalized, but up to 7 p.m., did not confirm that the boy was dead.
