OCHI HIGH HAMMERED BY MAY DAY

BATTING CONTINUES TO LET DOWN THE ST ANN TEAM

Ocho Rios High School cricketers suffered a crushing loss against May Day High of Manchester on Friday, March 8. It was the second match for Ocho Rios, following their loss to Tacky High, in the Quarter Final Round of the Grace Headley Cup Cricket.

May Day won by 458 runs, in the match played at May Day.

May Day won the toss, elected to bat, and piled up a massive score of 560 for 6 wickets declared. Javed Williams made a triple century, 347, and Christopher Lewis 127.

Bowling for Ocho Rios High School,  Rushawn Lynch was the top wicket-taker with four for 128.

In reply, Ocho Rios High School made 102 all out. T was another low-scoring game for the St Ann team that has struggled with the bat through the first round and now in the quarter-final round of the competition.

Jadeek Walker made 35 not out and Reando Kelly 21.  Lynch who topped the Ocho Rios bowling returned to make 12.

Bowling for May Day High School, the chief destroyer was Chadwick Hewitt 5 for 23, and Devar Murray 3 for 55
