Members of the North Coast Times team went to church on Sunday to ask God’s guidance on the setting up of a cable television station that is far advanced.

The station, North Coast Times Television (NCT-TV) is to be broadcast on cable channels covering the North Coast parishes and also will be streamed.

Members of the Times team in print and online and of the television staff as well as Board members, attended service at the Immanuel United Church, Tower Isle, St Mary on Sunday, April 2.

The church leadership welcomed the team and congratulated them for seeking God’s guidance in the project. Rev Sylvan Hinds who delivered the sermon said members of the team would be better able to carry out their tasks through transformation in their own lives. He said God was a living God and could bring renewal resurrection in all activities.

Managing director of the North Coast Times, Franklin McKnight thanked the church for welcoming the team and said they were there to thank God for the progress made thus far and to ask the church for its prayers and blessings. He said the team had made sacrifices for which he was thankful as also for the kindness of well wishers. “We have far to go and are going to need many more miracles and prayers and blessing,” he said.

He told the church that information would be available within weeks about the channels on which the station will be seen. However, he said there was agreement with cable providers to carry NCT-TV programmes on their channels from Portland, St Mary, St Ann, Trelawny and St James. Also the programmes will be streamed.

Young people in the church held up a welcome for the North Coast Times and several of the church leaders expressed their congratulations and support.

Also taking part in the service from the church were interim minister Donald Williams, pastor Amy Ewan, and elder Rosa Gabbidon.

The studios for North Coast Times TV are at 109 Main Street Ocho Rios, St Ann.
