The St Ann police say they are still carrying out intense investigations into the brutal murder of two men in the parish a week ago, a JUTA tour operator of Greenwich and a pastry chef of Runaway Bay, St Ann. Pastry Chef, Wegon Bennett of Bell Air, Runaway Bay, St Ann was viciously murdered at his home on Tuesday March, 18. Bennett was discovered at his home by his 16-year-old daughter with several stab wounds and his hands bound. Several items including, television set, entertainment surround system, laptop and cellular phones were reportedly stolen. A suitcase with clothes and other personal items were reportedly taken. The house was also ransacked. The St Ann police say no one has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of the pastry chef who had worked for years with a cruise shipping company. And there are no suspects as yet. They say none of the items that were stolen was recovered. The police say intense investigations are ongoing into the matter, however, they cannot reveal any information as yet. A senior detective asked by the  North Coast Times about suspects said, “We are ruling out no one.” In the meantime, the police say they are also yet to apprehend a suspect for the gruesome murder of 49-year-old JUTA operator, Kevin Braham. Braham was found dead near his burnt-out-pick-up truck on Thursday, March 20.  Police say a woman who was last seen with Braham was contacted and interviewed. A reliable source told The Times he is satisfied that  that woman was not in the vehicle at the time. She is not a suspect. The Times had reported last week that the woman was seen with Braham at a beach party at priory on Wednesday evening and was seen in his vehicle headed toward her home in Lumsden on that same evening. Sources say however, she had been dropped off at home and  Mr Braham would have continued toward Claremont near where he was found dead in the burnt out pick-up, hours later. Asked about the fact that the passenger seat was in a reclined position and that secluded area the vehicle was parked, a senior detective from Area 2 said he would not speculate. “We are doing our investigations and when we have something concrete we will tell you,” the officer said. The police say they are also following leads in the case to apprehend the killers.
