A man, who was listed as one of St. Ann’s eight most wanted men, was denied bail in court Tuesday, days after being captured.

Charged for murder is Carl Wilson alias 666 (or Triple Six) and Wild Life, of Flanker, St James and Mt Edgecombe, Runaway Bay, St Ann.

Now that police have the man in custody, they have another issue as he says his name is not Wilson.  He says that’s the name of his wife. The court asked that his identity be checked.

The man police have as Wilson was wanted in connection to the murder of nineteen-year-old Javon Nugent of Sturge Town, St. Ann in October. He has been on the run for over six months.

Reports from the Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU) are that on Wednesday, September 30, Nugent was one of three persons attacked by a group of men in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

One of the attackers allegedly used a golf club to hit Nugent in the head which rendered him unconscious. He died the following day October 1, in hospital.

Wilson captured in St. Mary by the police on Thursday, March 17 and taken before the St. Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate Court on Tuesday (March 22), for the murder of Nugent.

It was stated in court that Wilson is jointly charged in the murder with Miguel Bailey, who will appear in court on April 7, when the matter is to be mentioned.
