48-HOUR SECURITY MEASURE ROLLED OVER AGAIN

Forty-eight-hour curfews have again been imposed in several sections of St  Mary

The curfews being applied over thelast few weeks in some sections of St Mary and generally renewed after 48 hours have again been imposed in troubled areas. They come on the back of curfews that ended at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the same areas.

The curfews commenced at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.

The areas of the curfew include:

  1. Free Hill, Oxford, and Geddes Town, St. Mary.
  2. Robins Bay and Nutfield, St. Mary
  3. Boscobel and Stewart Town, St. Mary

During the hours of the security measure, persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.

Curfews have been running for weeks now in the three sets of communities identified and go along with other security forces operations across the parish of St Mary.
